Susan Lees

Director & Personal Assistant

Hi I’m Susan. I am based in Preston and have 20+ years’ experience in office management. I offer both Personal Assistant and Virtual Assistant services in and around Preston, the surrounding areas and beyond.

After gaining qualifications in Business Administration (Level 1 and 2) and the ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence), I have worked for a multinational company (within the nuclear energy sector) and within the Civil Service in clerical support roles.

The idea of running my own business started with wanting the freedom and flexibility to make my own decisions. At the same time, I also realised that there are a lot of business owners and entrepreneurs out there that often get bogged down with day-to-day administrative tasks. The cost of hiring staff is often out of reach for a lot of small businesses, therefore I decided to use my expertise and my experience to start Preston PA Services.

Being a business owner, I understand the importance of flexibility within the workplace. I believe that with my excellent customer service and commitment at the heart of everything I do, I will be giving the highest quality support available.

In my role as mum to two beautiful children, one of whom is autistic, I have had to learn to adapt and cope with the pressures of the unexpected and as such often have to think outside the box to solve problems; something again which helps when running your own business and offering support to others.

Whilst volunteering within a secondary school as a Special Educational Needs Governor, I was responsible for school admissions, implementation of school policies, personnel issues (including disciplinary) as well as forging a link between parents, teachers and the governing body.

In my spare time, when I do have some, I love spending time with my family, friends and with my animals (the soft, furry, cuddly type). I am an active member within the village community. I sing in the local choir, participate in charity events and take the time to visit elderly residents. At home, I love to read and have an avid interest in medieval history. When possible, I do like to visit stately homes and castles, furthering my interest in history.
